2021 Pool Rules and Pool Policies (2 of 2)
Virginia continues to be under a statewide COVID-19 Executive Order that requires us to follow certain requirements. Members must follow these rules or will be subject to removal from the pool and/or suspension from membership.
Please be patient and respectful of other members and the staff, so that we may all enjoy the pool this summer!
1. Pool Access and Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Friday-Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Babysitters (15 years+) and other approved guests may accompany children as part of a Family membership.
To come to the pool unaccompanied, children must be entering sixth grade in 2021 and be able to swim.
Pool access may be limited during private parties, and will be unavailable during swim meets.
2. Check-In Procedures:
Each time you enter the pool you must check in with the gate staff. You must show your ID upon request. Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms may not enter the pool facility.
Each member is provided with 5 guest passes this year! One pass per guest, per visit. Guests must check in with a member. Additional guest passes may be purchased online or at the Snack Bar, for $5 per pass.
Guests who are visiting from outside the Richmond Metropolitan Area are welcome to accompany a member to the pool at no cost.
4. Inclement Weather:
At the first sound of thunder the pool will be cleared of swimmers for 30 minutes. At the first sight of lightning the pool and pool deck will be cleared for 30 minutes. The pool deck and/or pool will reopen when 30 minutes have passed without any sighting of lightning or sound of thunder. If two hours before closing there is still inclement weather, the pool may be closed for the day.
5. Deck Furniture:
Deck chairs and tables are back this year! They will be cleaned regularly. You may bring your own chair(s) if you choose to.
6. Food and Drink:
Snack Bar will be back this year! All those ages five and up who are not fully vaccinated for Covid-19 must wear a mask when ordering food. Consistent with other years, no alcohol is permitted.
7. Mask Wearing:
The Governor’s current Executive Order (No. 79) requires individuals aged five and older to wear masks when unable to socially distance and if not fully vaccinated for Covid-19. There are exceptions that include medical reasons, exercising (swimming), and eating or drinking. Please abide by these requirements.
